Dear Mr. President,

Accept my heartfelt thanks for your kind wishes on the occasion of my ninety-second birthday. I deeply appreciate your thoughtfulness.

Permit me to take this occasion to express to you my gratitude and the gratitude of freedom-loving Ukrainian people for your clear stand on human rights. Our Church suffers for more than four decades outrageous persecution, and few are the voices that speak out in its defence.

May God give you strength necessary for the just fulfillment of your charge toward the American people and to all the people of the eart.
